The Opportunity
BLCK VC sought to deepen ecosystem relationships through curated, salon-style gatherings during high-visibility industry moments.
I led the strategy and creative direction for Vested, designing an experience that prioritized trust, dialogue, and long-term alignment.
Each event was consistently waitlisted across four cities and connected more than 250+ ecosystem operators.
The Context
Conferences create visibility, while intimate environments create alignment.
The goal was to design a format that balanced cultural fluency with strategic rigor while remaining scalable across markets.
The experience needed to feel elevated, intentional, and consistent from invitation through follow-up.
Strategic Architecture
Curated guest lists
Conversation-driven programming
Atmosphere as brand expression
Continuity beyond the room
Vested was built around four core principles:
This structure ensured every activation reinforced the broader mission while adapting to each city’s context.
The Guest Journey
Connection began before guests entered the room, so the format scaled without losing intimacy.
Curated outreach established tone and expectation.
Invitation
Venue and hospitality created immediate alignment.
Arrival
The Salon
Structured dialogue fostered depth and trust.
Continuity
Facilitated introductions extended engagement beyond the event.
Experience Design
The creative system reflected the values of the series: intimacy, cultural fluency, and presence.
Warm tones, layered textures, and thoughtful hospitality shaped the environment. Spatial layout supported conversation at a human scale. Sponsors were integrated seamlessly to preserve cohesion.
